Skills for Life

3rd Hatfield Air Scouts has been a part of the Hatfield community since 1953 and has always been an Air Scout unit.

Welcome to 3rd Hatfield Air Scouts

We are officially known as the John Cunningham group after the de Havilland pilot who played a role in the growth of the group.

As Air Scouts, we have a keen interest in science, technology, engineering and maths and we even do our best to find opportunities for our older scouts to go flying. As well as this we go on lots of camping trips, adventurous activities and spent time having fun at our home base.

Adult volunteers

The Scouts award-winning training scheme for volunteers means that adults get as much from Scouts as young people.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
